2025 Rewind: The Year’s Most Impactful Public Health Reads

2025 public health reads

We take our annual look back at the public health breakthroughs and updates that resonated with readers this year.

These were just some of the health innovations explored this year by Primary.Health Medical Director Adi Chandrasekhar, MD, MPH, FACP in his clinical blog series. Also each month, he offered an evidence-based look at critical testing and vaccines that keep families and communities healthy.

Vaccine checklists and more

Over the year, he provided comprehensive vaccine checklists for many populations – newborns, older children, pregnant women, and older adults. He also examined some diseases that could pose a public health threat without proper vigilance and protocols, like measles, polio, tuberculosis, meningitis, and H5N1.

Along the way, he expanded the Primary.Health library of clinical information (check out our Patient Health Hub here) with overviews of the Hib vaccine, Hepatitis C treatment, trichomoniasis, and the possibilities of genetic testing for breast cancer.

And just in time for flu season, he presented an option to make flu vaccine administration a little easier: FluMist, a needle-free nasal spray flu vaccine.

Technology roll-outs

The year’s coverage was rounded out with introductions to Primary.Health solutions to power essential public health initiatives – by our own in-house thought leaders:

  • LabConnect, the smarter way to modernize lab workflows, from Jack Hysell, our director of solutions engineering;
  • Newborn Screening Case Management and the role of technology in streamlining the administration and follow-up of baby’s critical first test, from Amy Gaviglio, MS, CGC Connetics Consulting, LLC.

We’re extremely grateful for the expertise shared by Adi and our guest contributors and the opportunity to highlight essential public health services. Here’s to an informative, innovative 2026 – the momentum is already building. Join us for the journey!
